What MediCita is
MediCita is an aggregator of public information about medical specialists in Puerto Rico. We collect data from federal registries, insurer directories, and other public sources to organize them into a directory with freshness signals.
MediCita is not a medical referral service, does not verify credentials, does not recommend doctors, and does not schedule appointments.
Accuracy of information
The information in MediCita comes from public sources that may be outdated. Insurer directories contain known errors. Freshness signals (Corroborated, Recent, Pending, Old) reflect the number and recency of public sources that mention a provider, not independent verification by MediCita.
Accepted health plan data reflects what insurers published at a given moment. Surgical capability is inferred from specialty codes and hospital privilege records, not from direct confirmation.
Result order reflects the number of sources and data recency, not quality of care or recommendation.
Always confirm directly with the provider's office before a visit.

Nothing in MediCita constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendation. No doctor-patient relationship is created by using this service.
Your use of the service
By using MediCita you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you submit reports or comments, you agree that the information you provide is truthful. Do not include personal medical information in your reports.
Do not use MediCita to harass, defame, or harm medical providers.

Limitation of liability
MediCita is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for decisions made based on directory information, including but not limited to: visits to providers who no longer practice, health plans they no longer accept, or services they no longer offer.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of MediCita after changes constitutes acceptance.
